Martin, a young employee of a bank branch is taken hostage in his office by an individual. By dint of argument, he manages to convince the bandit to leave the bank empty-handed. The individual disappears into nature. Martin has shown himself to be extremely courageous, but his misadventure leaves psychological traces: everywhere he sees the threatening individual again. Isabelle, Martin's friend is convinced that after this heroic act, he will be promoted and transferred to the bank's headquarters. But as a reward for his heroic behavior, the bank's management offers him some derisory gift vouchers to spend in a Megastore.
